LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is urging Nebraskans to be cautious while enjoying their summer days of boating.

Among the commission’s suggestions: wear life jackets, avoid alcohol, carry required safety equipment and be wary of surroundings.

Also, the state says anyone born after Dec. 31, 1985, who operates a motorboat or personal watercraft in Nebraska, must have successfully completed the Nebraska boating safety course.
