DEXTER, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a man who died in a fall while helping string a new power line near Dexter.
KCCI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1glqDKX ) the man has been identified as 39-year-old David Denger of Panora. Denger fell about 50 feet Tuesday morning while working as part of a crew a couple miles north of Dexter.
The crew was hanging power lines on the west side of Dexfield Road when Denger fell from a boom truck.
The Dallas County Sherriff’s Office says Denger died from injuries he suffered in the fall.
Dexter is about 30 miles west of Des Moines.
