FALLON, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says a Florida woman was killed and her husband injured when their vehicle overturned on U.S. 50.

The accident happened around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday about 40 miles east of Fallon.

Troopers say 77-year-old Leslie Madsen was driving a 2005 Buick SUV when he lost control of the vehicle. The Buick left the roadway and overturned. Madsen’s 75-year-old wife, Mary, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The couple is from Mount Dora, Florida.

Leslie Madsen was flown to a hospital in Reno with non-life threatening injuries to his left arm and head.

Investigators do not suspect alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
