DAYTON, Ind. (AP) - State police say a semitrailer rolled over in the Interstate 65 median after hitting a tow-behind grill that was on the highway near Lafayette.
Police say the crash happened about 2:30 a.m. Monday on the highway about 10 miles southeast of Lafayette. WLFI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1n8RjSl ) the driver told troopers he came upon the unhitched grill and didn’t see it in the dark until he was unable to avoid hitting it.
The semi veered into the highway’s median and rolled over, hitting the cable barriers. Police say debris scattered into both the highway’s northbound and southbound lanes, causing flat tires for several vehicles.
No injuries were reported from the crash.
