OSSIPEE, N.H. (AP) - Police in Ossipee, N.H., say a man is believed to be in stable condition at a hospital after he was shot at least once.

Police responded to a residence at about 9 p.m. Sunday after the man reported he had been shot.

WMWV-FM reports Detective Sgt. Bob King declined to release the identity of the victim or his age.



His home off of Route 16 is being treated as a crime scene and police are processing evidence there.

New Hampshire State Police, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and police from Freedom and Tuftonboro also assisted.
