GOTHENBURG, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska authorities say a California man has been arrested after more than 100 pounds of marijuana was found in his car.

The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper pulled over an eastbound car a little after 3:15 p.m. Sunday near the Gothenburg exit off Interstate 80 in western Nebraska’s Dawson County.

The patrol says the man gave permission for a vehicle search and says 122 pounds of pot was found inside six duffel bags in the car’s trunk.

The driver was alone in the vehicle. He was identified as 47-year-old Toua Thao, of Fresno, Calif. Dawson County Jail records say Thao remained in custody on Monday. Online court records don’t list the name of his attorney.
