PHOENIX (AP) - The owner of a Phoenix home designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright for his son and daughter-in-law is asking the city to delay consideration of an historic preservation designation on the structure.
Las Vegas lawyer Zach Rawling last year bought the home to ensure its preservation.
The City Council on Wednesday is scheduled to consider placing the home on a city registry for historic sites, but the Arizona Republic (https://bit.ly/1lHYa0k ) reports that a land-use attorney for Rawling is asking for a delay.
Attorney Paul Gilbert says more time is needed to work out plans for the property, including arrangements for public visitation.
A former owner of the home had planned to demolish it in order to develop the property in the Arcadia neighborhood of east Phoenix.
