NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A central New Jersey woman has been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison for her role in the robberies of three banks.

Federal prosecutors say 54-year-old Andrea Dorsey of Plainfield also must pay $59,387 in restitution and will have to serve four years of supervised release once she’s freed from prison.

Dorsey pleaded guilty last August to three counts of bank robbery, admitting that she entered the banks to determine how many employees were working and gave the information to an accomplice. Dorsey also admitted to driving the getaway car during the robberies, which occurred between September 2011 and June 2012 in Somerset and Middlesex counties.

Her alleged accomplice, 62-year-old Claude Williams, has been indicted on numerous counts, including conspiracy and bank robbery. Those charges are pending.
