KINGSTON, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 2-year-old boy and his father suffered burns and the child’s mother was hurt jumping from a roof when their home caught fire in the city of Kingston.
The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports (https://bit.ly/1cNlnxX ) that the house fire broke out around 9 a.m. Sunday. The family of four had escaped to a neighbor’s house when firefighters arrived.
The toddler and father had first- and second-degree burns. The extent of the mother’s injuries was unknown. They were taken to a hospital. A 7-year-old daughter was unharmed.
The fire was contained mostly to the first floor of the home. The cause hasn’t been determined.
