LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been charged with stabbing two teenagers on a Louisville public transportation bus.

WAVE-TV (https://bit.ly/1maonHL) reports 44-year-old Anthony R. Allen is accused of stabbing a 13-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy early Sunday morning. Authorities said Allen ran from the scene, but detectives tracked him down about a half mile away.

He is charged with two counts of assault and tampering with physical evidence.



Louisville Police Department spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said the boy is grave condition at a local hospital. She did not give the condition of the girl.

TARC executive director Barry Barker said in a statement that the bus service is deeply saddened by what happened is working with investigators.

Allen is scheduled for arraignment on Monday. Jail records did not list an attorney for him on Sunday.
