GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (AP) - Police on Long Island are seeking a gunman who opened fire during an altercation in a crowded restaurant and wounded two patrons.

Nassau County police say the shooting happened just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday at a restaurant and lounge in Garden City called Mint.

Police say a dispute among patrons escalated and someone opened fire into a crowd of people.



Two men in their 20s were shot, one in the head and the other in the leg.

Both were taken to a hospital. The victim with the head wound is listed in critical condition and the victim with the leg wound is in stable condition.

The gunman fled.
