MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP) - Authorities said a northwestern Indiana man and his wife have been found shot to death in an apparent murder-suicide.
The Michigan City Police Department says 63-year-old Raymond Anthony Richardson and 61-year-old Carrie Richardson were found dead Sunday in their home. Police say in a news release that “evidence at the scene indicated that this was a murder-suicide and no one else was at home at the time of the incident.”
Michigan City Police Chief Mark Swistek told The News-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1oe81MO ) the husband called 911 to report a shooting. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
The latest deaths follow the shooting death of a 24-year-old woman Friday in the city about 25 miles east of Gary. Police have charged a 20-year-old man with felony murder in connection with her death.
