OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Omaha police have arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving after they say drove his pickup into the back of another truck, then crashed into a house.

Police say Joseph Linhart drove off after rear-ending another pickup stopped for a red light in south Omaha around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police tell the Omaha World-Herald (https://bit.ly/1kwe9i4) that Linhart then lost control of his truck while speeding away, crashing into a home near 52nd and O streets.

Police he tried to flee on foot but was caught a short distance away.

Police say Linhart’s blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal driving limit. He was arrested suspicion of drunken driving, twice leaving the scene of an accident and other counts.

Linhart could not be reached for comment Saturday.
