HASTINGS, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say the body of a western Michigan man has been found near a foot bridge across the Thornapple River.

Police said a man walking his dog Friday afternoon found the 53-year-old man lying face down near the bridge in the Barry County community of Hastings. Investigators say there are no obvious signs of trauma but MLive.com reports an autopsy will be conducted.

Hastings police haven’t released the man’s name but tell WOOD-TV officers are working to notify his family.
