ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - A Rock Springs man has been convicted of sexually assaulting five victims over three decades.

A jury found James Joe Nordwall guilty Thursday of four counts of first-degree rape and three counts of sexual assault in the third degree. The assaults happened between 1971 and 1992.

The Rock Springs Rocket-Miner (https://bit.ly/PAfquo ) reports that the Nordwall was charged with rape for some of the assaults and sexual assault for others because of changes to state law during that period.

Nordwall’s trial lasted from Monday through Wednesday. Jurors began deliberating Thursday morning and reached their verdict by early evening.

No sentencing date has been scheduled yet.
