PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - Authorities have accused a New Jersey hospital patient with setting fire to a dental clinic inside the hospital.

Twenty-eight-year-old Giselle Torres of Paterson is charged with two counts of aggravated arson.

Torres was admitted to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center early Thursday.

Authorities say the hospital’s sprinkler system extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived.

Senior assistant Passaic County prosecutor Lisa Squitieri tells The Star-Ledger of Newark (https://bit.ly/1dYYO87 ) it will cost $200,000 to fix the damage to the dental equipment, including an X-ray machine.
