CINCINNATI (AP) - Police have arrested two men in the shooting death of a Cincinnati taxi driver.
Police arrested 20-year-old Keyawhan (KEE’-ah-whan) Lowe and 24-year-old Dakeith (duh-KEETH’) Pleasant on charges of murder and aggravated robbery on Thursday, a day after the killing.
At their first court hearing Friday, a Hamilton County judge ordered Lowe and Pleasant held on bonds of $1.1 million each.
Attorneys had not yet been assigned to their cases.
A grand jury will consider whether to indict the men on March 24.
On Wednesday, police found the body of taxi driver Moustafa Mamadou Diop (moo-STAH’-fah mah-mah-DOO’ dee-OP’) in his cab near Interstate 75 just north of downtown Cincinnati. The 45-year-old was a father to three.
Police believe the motive was robbery.
