WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) - Four people accused of kidnapping and killing a West Valley City man for a drug debt and later abandoning his body near a Utah ski resort appeared in court Tuesday.
West Valley City police arrested the four after 34-year-old Cleat Aaron Knight’s body was recovered from an area near Snowbasin resort last week.
Police say Knight was kidnapped in late November in West Valley City and later died of gunshot wounds.
The suspects are facing charges of aggravated kidnapping, criminal homicide and obstruction of justice. They include 35-year-old Christopher Kim Leech, 42-year-old Viliamu Seumanu, 41-year-old Tina Maxine Soules and 42-year-old Theron Myore.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1amDFCV) the four are being held at the Salt Lake County jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
They’re due back in court on Feb. 10.
