Minimum-security inmate missing in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a state prison inmate missing in Sioux Falls.

State corrections officials say 43-year-old Geoffrey Peterson went to his work release job Monday and failed to return to a minimum-security unit at the State Penitentiary.

Peterson is serving five years behind bars for a fifth-offense drunken driving conviction in Minnehaha County.
