ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) - A technology firm has selected a site in Alpharetta for its metro Atlanta operations and expects to add 500 jobs during the next five years.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal said the company will also make an estimated capital investment of $41 million for facilities and equipment.

Deal said in a statement that Fiserv Inc. now employs about 2,000 workers across six locations in the metro Atlanta area.

Buildings at the Alpharetta site will be occupied in phases, with workers expected to move from existing offices to 2900 and 2950 Westside Parkway during 2015 and 2016.

Deal said Fiserve is a global provider of financial services technology solutions.
