GREENWOOD, Miss. (AP) - Blues fans will make their way to Greenwood on Saturday for Mississippi Blues Fest’s annual spring concert.
The Greenwood Commonwealth reports (https://bit.ly/1jDKeUF) the show will begin at 7 p.m. at the Leflore County Civic Center.
Andrew McQueen, president of Mississippi Blues Fest and executive director of the Leflore County Civic Center, said the line-up will be headlined by T.K. Soul.
Other established artists appearing will be O.B. Buchana, Ms. Jody, Steve Perry and Jaye Hammer. Newcomer J.R. Blu also will appear.
Tickets are $26 in advance and $30 at the door.
Mississippi Blues Fest, a volunteer organization, began holding concerts at the civic center in 2008.
Interest has grown, and so has attendance, said Larry Griggs, Blues Fest’s vice president.
“It seems like when we got started, it was a slow start. Now, it seems we’re drawing a lot of folks,” he
Said.
Concerts are held twice a year - on the first weekend in March and again on the first weekend in October.
Tickets are $26 in advance and $30 at the door.
