ATLANTA (AP) - Emory University is set to host a big international summit on ethical and policy questions surrounding biotechnology next year.
The school says its Center for Ethics will host “Biotechnology and the Ethical Imagination: A Global Summit (BEINGS)” in May 2015.
The conference is set to bring together the world’s foremost experts on the topics. Their aim is to establish a vision for the best was to use advanced biotechnology and to reach a consensus on reasonable guidelines for cellular biotechnologies.
The summit is expected to bring together 25 distinguished scholars, hundreds of delegates from the 30 leading biotechnology-producing countries. It will also be able to accommodate up to 1,000 observers.
