ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal has announced the state’s net tax revenue for March is up by more than 12 percent from March of 2013.

Deal said in a statement that Georgia’s net tax collections totaled $1.32 billion in March, which is an uptick of about $144.5 million - or 12.3 percent - from March of last year.

Deal says individual income tax collections in March totaled $477.5 million, which is up $54.75 million from March 2013.



The state’s sales and use taxes dropped by about 2.7 percent to $22 million last month, and corporate income tax collections in March were $175 million, up by about $39 million from last year.

Deal says Georgia’s year-to-date tax collections total $13.05 billion, which is an increase of about $705 million from last year.
