ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - A woman convicted of planning to kill her stepmother in their Vermont home when she was a teenager is going to be living in St. Johnsbury with her sister while a legal case against her proceeds.
Twenty-nine-year-old Tashia Beer was in court Monday, where a judge ruled she could live with her sister while the state tries to revoke her probation because she was allegedly living with a convicted felon in Las Vegas - a violation of her probation.
Beer was 14 in 2000 when she plotted with her foster brother to kill their stepmother in Burke. She pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge and served six years in prison.
The Caledonian Record (https://bit.ly/1gOWE8X ) reports Beer wants to remain free so she can video-chat with her two children in Nevada.
