PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities are looking for the driver of a pickup which drove off after fatally striking a person ejected from a vehicle on Interstate 10 in Chandler.
The state Department of Public Safety says a pickup was merging onto eastbound I-10 about 8:20 p.m. Monday and swerved to avoid a slower-moving vehicle.
Officer Cook says a passenger in the pickup was ejected and was then hit by another pickup, which kept driving. Officials are investigating the incident as a homicide.
Eastbound I-10 was closed for several hours for the investigation. It reopened at approximately 2:30 a.m.
