COLUMBUS, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a small plane spun down the runway of a central Indiana airport after its landing gear collapsed.
Columbus Fire Department Lt. Mike Wilson says the pilot wasn’t hurt in Sunday evening’s rough landing at the Columbus Municipal Airport.
Wilson tells The Republic (https://bit.ly/PmqYjM ) that the pilot was getting out of the single-engine 1992 biplane as firefighters arrived at the scene. The plane stayed upright and didn’t catch fire.
