ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) — A teenage girl charged in her father’s death remains in custody along with her boyfriend, who is also accused in the killing.
Fourteen-year-old Morgan Arnold waived her right to a bail hearing in Howard County District Court on Monday. Her 19-year-old boyfriend, Jason Bulmer, was ordered held without bond.
The two are accused in Friday’s stabbing death of Dennis Lane, Miss Arnold’s father and a local real estate blogger.
Charging documents released Monday say Miss Arnold and Mr. Bulmer had discussed killing Mr. Lane for two months and had planned to run away together.
Police said Mr. Bulmer told investigators that Miss Arnold wanted him to stab her father in the throat 10 times and to stab his girlfriend in the throat 15 times.
A message left with the public defender’s office wasn’t immediately returned.
