OPINION:
A recent Associated Press article informed readers of The Washington Times that Vice President Joseph R. Biden thinks GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney is preparing to take the nation to war (“Biden says Romney set for ’war,’ ” Web, Sept. 2).
Surely, after nearly 50 years of a Cold War that never actually got hot, even Mr. Biden would understand that the surest way to avoid war is to be prepared for it. That, of course, is something the Obama administration has manifestly neglected to do.
