Kim Hopkins was reunited with her dog Deuce after six years on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017. Hopkins’ dog Deuce was stolen from her yard six years ago when she was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In September, the veteran got a call that Deuce, who is micro-chipped, had been found. The only problem: The 7-year-old pitbull was more than 2,500 miles away, and couldn’t fly commercial airlines. Hegseth joins veterans, generals to mark 80th anniversary of battle of Iwo Jima
A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
