A profanity-laced exchange of text messages shows that Garland advised a city official to be "as unhelpful as possible" in responding to a public records request. WSB-TV reports that the spokeswoman also advised the official to "drag this out" as long as possible and provide information in the most confusing format available. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
