The Nebraska Supreme Court has upheld the convictions and death sentence of Jenkins, who killed four people in Omaha shortly after leaving prison in 2013. Jenkins pleaded no contest in 2014 to killing four people in three random separate attacks. He was sentenced to death in 2017 after years of delays over concerns regarding his mental health. The high court ruled Friday, June 19, 2019, that the trial court didn't abuse its discretion in accepting Jenkin's no-contest plea.(Kent Sievers/Omaha World-Herald via AP, Pool File)
