Northern California officials have identified four people slain in October as the wife and three children of Hangud, charged with carrying out the killings over nearly a week. KCRA-TV reported Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, that officials identified the four as his 46-year-old wife and children ages 20, 16 and 13. They have charged Shankar Hangud with killing three victims at their home northeast of Sacramento. They say he killed the fourth victim five days later near the Oregon border. Hegseth joins veterans, generals to mark 80th anniversary of battle of Iwo Jima
A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
