In this undated photo made available by The Royal Mint, a view of a rare Edward VIII Sovereign coin. One of the world's most rare coins featuring the uncle of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, has been purchased for 1 million pounds ($1.3 million) in a new record for the sale of a British coin. The historical oddity shows King Edward VIII before he abdicated the throne in 1936 in order to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. The 22-carat gold coins were never released to the public.
