In this Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 photo, a female opossum peers from a box at the Wildlife Clinic of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University's campus in Grafton, Mass. The opossum, who had been hit by a car, was found with 10 young ones in her pouch and suffering from frost bite on her paws and tip of her tail. Subzero temperatures and heavy snows have savaged birds and critters that struggle to survive even in mild winters. The director of the clinic said they have seen about a 50 percent increase in the number of animals it has treated, compared to last year during this time. (AP Photo/Rodrique Ngowi)
