Scott Brown support for Wall St. overhaul a puzzling move

While conservatives knew Mr. Brown would not be with them on a number of issues, many believed he was at least a sound fiscal conservative who campaigned on transparency, smaller government, and lower taxes. If Mr. Brown did not think conservatives would not immediately react, he was mistaken.

Gov. Brewer says Ariz. Dems feign outrage over DOJ lawsuit

Democrats in Arizona are coming out vociferously against the Obama administration’s lawsuit challenging Arizona’s new immigration law, but Arizona Republican Governor Jan Brewer is not buying it. Arizona Democratic Representatives Gabrielle Giffords, Ann Kirkpatrick, and Harry Mitchell all face tough re-election bids and have criticized the action of the Department of Justice.

San Francisco bans...

San Francisco, long known for its liberal politics, proposes and passes numerous "bans" and restrictive orders on its residents. The latest proposal from San Francisco's Commission of Animal Control and Welfare is a ban on the sale of all pets (other than fish) throughout the city. Such a move is likely to cause great financial damage to local pet stores causing pet store business owners to shut down. This proposed pet sale ban will only add to the list of bans San Francisco has already instituted. A simple google search with the phrase "San Francisco bans" calls up a plethora of news headlines over the years that have that phrase.

What’s in a name?

“Progressive.” That sounds nice, “Progressive.” This is a fantastic label. It invokes snuggly thoughts of a marshmallow world. It connotes glorious advancement and movement; a path that leads to a promised future, endeavor or destination. And it is the accepted and incessantly communicated euphemism for liberal. A good question is whether it is an honest match.

The failure of the Obama administration's Department of Justice to prosecute members of the New Black Panther Party, caused an uproar last year, but since former DOJ attorney J. Christian Adams spoke out and testified before the U.S. Civil Rights Commission that the decision to drop the Black Panther case was politically motivated on the basis of race, questions are being asked about whether or not Attorney General Eric Holder's Justice Department is being run on a political agenda from the White House.
