Daniels plans to return in '09

A day after his season ended virtually before it started with a torn left ACL, Redskins defensive end Phillip Daniels was naturally downcast about 2008 but upbeat about playing next year.

Coach Jim Zorn said that defensive end Phillip Danieis, who injured his left knee on the first play of 7 on 7 drills this morning, had "a bit of a hyperextension. We're trying to get him an MRI to see if there's any other damage. Right now, we'll just say it's a sprained knee and we don't know to what degree."
