Kasten on the organization -- and on the radio
Stan Kasten just met with reporters a few minutes ago, shortly before he appeared on 980 AM. Here's what he had to say, first to us and then a few snippets from his radio appearance:
More Exercise Induces Women to Eat Treats
Overweight women who engaged in exercise for one to two hours a week lost several pounds over six months without dieting. But paradoxically, those who exercised even more - three hours a week - failed to lose as much as expected. Click here for more information on Weight Loss.

A little day-after news
Pretty quiet day here at Space Coast Stadium; a few players are trickling in and out of the clubhouse, and Randy St. Claire engaged in a spirited game of Wiffle ball with some of his pitchers. Evan Longoria could emerge as an elite player, Chipper Jones and Garrett Atkins are safe bets and Chris Davis is a nice prospect, but after that you're left with a big group of similarly solid but unspectacular options.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Fisheries Service has lumped together recreational and commercial fishing segments in the U.S., believing that overfishing in the oceans can be ended by 2010. Good luck to all the parties involved; they'll need it.
Manny on Bowden; Flores to have MRI
Much of Manny Acta's post-game press conference after a 7-5 loss to the Orioles, predictably, was about the resignation of Jim Bowden. Here's the transcript of what he had to say about his former boss (more news to follow at the bottom):
Adam Dunn to WBC
Adam Dunn will play for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, the Nationals announced today.
A Sunday mid-game update
Scott Olsen threw two scoreless innings in his first start of the season, though he had at least one would-be homer knocked down by the wind. The Nationals trail 6-1 through six innings.
