Wheaton Regional Park - This isn't any average day in the park. Take a 10 mile trip out of the busy city to have a fun day at Wheaton Regional Park in Wheaton, Maryland. The kids can take a ride on a mini replica of an 1863 train, ride the carousel, go fishing, play on the playground and have a picnic. Tickets are $2 each and are good for one ride on either the train or the carousel. There are also hiking trails, an ice rink, tennis courts, baseball fields and basketball courts for the kids that love sports.
