Originally built in the late 1700s, the store was heavily damaged by fire in 2008 and, as repairs were nearing completion a year later, was destroyed by an arson fire. It was rebuilt again and reopened in 2011. Now the general store and pharmacy is closed again due to the death of its pharmacist.
