Upper Peninsula, Michigan - Bobcat - The bobcat is a stealthy creature with a strong sense of smell, making it a worthy adversary for the seasoned hunter. With a typical home range of anywhere from 25 to 36 square miles, simply finding the animals is the biggest challenge. On Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, a fresh snowfall may solve that problem. Bobcat hunts are reserved for the winter outdoor enthusiast looking for a real adventure. Hiking the frozen U.P. outback on snowshoe in search of the elusive Michigan bobcat is an experience most won’t forget. This one can be very strenuous and hunters should be in good physical shape. Hunts are January 1st through March 1st.
