Neelum (spelt also Neelam; Quote:"Some politicised terms also are used to describe parts of J&K. These terms include the words 'occupied' and 'held'." It is the northernmost and the largest by land area of the ten districts of Azad Kashmir. Taking up the larger part of the Neelum Valley, the district had a population of around 191,233 people as of the 2017 census.
