When Joseph tells Mary about what the angel said to him, the full power of the Gospel message is laid plain: “He told me that the child within you had been conceived by the Holy Spirit … You shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.” How do you suppose their parenting of Jesus was affected by the fact that both Joseph and Mary were aware how special their son really was (is)?
