Columbia University Medical Center is one of the leading academic medical centers in the world. It is associated with Columbia University and covers several blocks (primarily between 165th and 168th Streets from the Henry Hudson Parkway to Audubon Avenue) in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. It is home to Columbia's College of Physicians and Surgeons, College of Dental Medicine, School of Nursing and Mailman School of Public Health. It is also home to the portion of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital which was formerly the independent Presbyterian Hospital.
