Starbucks has announced it will open a corporate office in Nashville, Tennessee, while maintaining its North America and global headquarters in Seattle, multiple news outlets report.

The retail coffee giant said Tuesday that some sourcing jobs will shift from Seattle to Nashville, resulting in dozens of supply-chain employees relocating.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee welcomed the announcement, noting the state’s business-friendly environment.

Industry observers in Seattle said Starbucks announcement could signal a broader HQ relocation down the road.

Starbucks cut nearly 1,000 jobs in Washington state in late 2025 as part of a $1 billion national restructuring effort.
