Rep. Nancy Mace pushed colleagues Wednesday to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi to get answers about her handling of the Epstein files.

Ms. Mace, South Carolina Republican, made a motion to issue the subpoena during a hearing of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.

Chairman James Comer, Kentucky Republican, pushed off a vote on the matter until the end of the hearing.

Ms. Mace has emerged as a vocal critic of Ms. Bondi and the Justice Department’s compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

In particular, she questioned the department’s posting — then pulling down — some documents.

“Those who enabled and participated in trafficking and abusing women and children must be exposed and held accountable. We don’t care how powerful, how rich, or how famous they are. Every single name gets released,” Ms. Mace said last month as she fired off a letter to Ms. Bondi demanding answers.

Ms. Bondi has told Congress her department did the best it could under tight timelines and the massive swath of documents in her department’s files.
