OPINION:
The Democrat Party’s donors, leaders and strategists are talking up 2028, wondering how best to win back the White House and concluding, according to whispers in the media, that their great hope lies with — gasp! — get this: a heterosexual, White, Christian male.
Oh, the horrors, the sheer horrors, this thought must bring to the left.
Democrats do love their blue-haired lunatics. Having to abandon the idea for president of a breastfeeding man, or even better, pregnant man, or even better than that, pregnant he-she who self-identifies as a she-he named No Name and who carries a rainbow-colored purse filled with edible tampons — well, that’s got to be tough.
Fearful, even.
“There is a fear,” one Democrat strategist told Axios, “that a woman has now lost twice [for president], so not discounting the hundreds of other times men have lost … but is it the right thing to nominate a woman?”
It’s funny Democrats think it’s a woman thing.
With Kamala Harris, it was a cackling thing. With Hillary Clinton, it was that whole “can’t stop lying” thing. On top of that, Harris wasn’t even voted to her candidacy — not by voters, anyway. Rather, she was installed by the party machine. Oh well, voting, schmoting.
“The Democratic Party takes pride in being a champion of women,” Axios wrote.
Just not so much when they’re actual, biological women, perhaps?
More from Axios: “Some top Democrats are quietly debating a fraught question: whether the party’s best bet for winning back the presidency in 2028 is to nominate a man — perhaps a straight, White, Christian man. Their fear, divulged with dismay in group chats, at cocktail parties and increasingly in public, is that parts of the electorate are too biased to support a woman or other diverse candidate for president. … The [party] takes pride in being a champion of women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community and religious minorities.”
The talk is being driven by Michelle Obama, who said a few months ago “there’s still, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman,” and by the previous president, Joe Biden, who blamed the loss of Harris on racism and sexism, and by Harris, who blamed her loss on the inability of America “to accept a woman, a Black woman, a Black woman married to a Jewish man.”
Sigh.
Democrats are blind to truth.
Michelle Obama had maintained a long-running and stubborn hostility toward America, refusing to see that it was White Americans who voted her husband into the White House and preferring instead to throw down the race card wherever and whenever possible. Hillary Clinton has maintained a long-running and deep distaste for all-things-conservative, particularly all-things-MAGA, refusing to see that when she calls out good American patriots as deplorables, that she’s setting the stage for a political standoff against her — a stage that’s already been set against her because of her elitist and globalist politicking and corrupt and secretive ways.
It’s not that America wouldn’t vote for a woman for president. Or a Black woman. Or a candidate that didn’t check all the boxes of White and Christian and male.
It’s that Americans don’t want their political leaders skippedy-doo-ing like little fairies (cough, cough, Tim Walz) across world stages.
It’s that Americans don’t want a freak show in the White House where masculinity is seen as aggressive and strong leadership is regarded as discriminatory, and where borders are open and tax dollars are distributed to the do-nothings, and China and communism are pushed as the “new capitalist method” and men masquerading as women lead up health policy, and bags of cocaine mysteriously appear in the West Wing. Americans already had that. It was called the Biden administration.
If Democrats want to call the opposite of all that “straight, White, Christian man,” well then, so be it. Americans benefit, either way.
America welcomes a Democrat Party that’s repented from its weird and wicked ways.
