They’re back by popular demand. The Washington Wizards announced Thursday that they would once again sport their fan-favorite cherry blossom uniforms in the 2026-27 season, as the city’s cherry blossoms reach peak bloom.

The all-pink look was first introduced ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, but the franchise had opted for different “city edition” looks in recent years.

“We are thrilled to work with Nike and the NBA to bring back this popular NBA City Edition uniform for the 2026-27 season,” Hunter Lochmann, the Wizards’ chief marketing officer, said in a news release. “We were excited when we debuted these during the 2022-23 season and know the fans and city will be happy to have them back as one of our uniform sets.”

The popular jerseys feature a flower dotting the “I” in “Washington,” a trio of blooming blossoms to mirror the District’s flag and a blue ombre, designed to depict the city’s Tidal Basin.

The Wizards also confirmed that they would design a cherry blossom-themed court to accompany the uniforms next season.

The jerseys will be available for purchase in January, the team announced.

The Wizards are currently 17-55 — the third-worst mark in the league — with 10 games remaining in the season.
