A Florida bakery has been flooded with orders from across the country, thanks to an unsolicited plug from actor Ryan Gosling, multiple news outlets report.

Mr. Gosling, promoting his new sci-fi movie “Project Hail Mary,” name-dropped The Cake Shop during a March 18 appearance on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

He recognized someone in the wings and called out “Saturday Night Live” wardrobe supervisor Donna Richards, whose sister Linda owns the Tallahassee bakery.

Mr. Gosling said the bakery makes incredible homemade Pop-Tarts, which Donna would deliver to “SNL” hosts at the start of each show.

Linda Richards, who has run the bakery for 25 years, said she was caught off guard by the Gosling plug. She told WCTV that the phone “rings off the hook” and that she has received thousands of requests, with Mr. Gosling’s favorite flavor being strawberry.
