OPINION:
If Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson had allowed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to do their job and arrest the criminal illegals in the city instead of undermining President Trump’s agenda and encouraging riots, then Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman would still be alive (“Feds seek custody of illegal immigrant accused of killing Chicago college student,” Web, March 23).
Yet in service to his presidential aspirations, Mr. Pritzker was and still is more interested in appealing to the radical left. Most bizarre is that his and Mr. Johnson’s sympathies lie with the illegals instead of the innocent victims.
My hope is that the Gorman family files a lawsuit against Messrs. Pritzker and Brandon, who definitely have blood on their hands. In the meantime, illegal alien Jose Medina, Ms. Gorman’s alleged killer, may as well be the poster child for why we need to end sanctuary policies immediately.
