Former President Joseph R. Biden, in a surprise appearance at a St. Patrick’s Day event in Boston, spoke of his own Irish ancestry and of Ireland’s Great Famine and then said, by way of jabbing President Trump’s border controls and illegal immigration sweeps, “Let’s not lose sight of the bonds we share with today’s immigrants, families who are enduring fear and violence at the hands … of our government. That’s not who we are. That’s not who America is.”

Except — immigrants are lawful entrants to a country. Biden pretends as if the unlawful entrants are one and the same as immigrants.

Democrats in general do that.

This is why they’re having such trouble with Trump, the SAVE Act, ICE and the Department of Homeland Security. Trump wants to make sure illegals aren’t allowed to cross into America to commit crimes, including the crime of illegally voting, and he’s established policy within the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency under the Department of Homeland Security to make it much more difficult for these lawbreakers to break the law.

In the time between Biden’s White House and Trump’s leadership, records have been set.

In March of 2025, the Center for Immigration Studies wrote this: “Biden’s presidency is over, but we are only now beginning to understand the full scale of the immigration surge that he oversaw. Immigration was so rapid over the last four years that the Census Bureau had trouble keeping up.”

At first, the Bureau reported Biden’s open borders saw an increase of 2 million between 2022 and 2023. Turned out, it was more like 4 million. The year 2024 alone saw 2.8 million border crossers into the United States.

“The Biden Administration Has Brought an Additional 6.7 Million Illegal Aliens into the U.S.,” The Heritage Foundation reported in January of 2024.

Compare that to this — a White House press release dated June 2025: “’Border Patrol didn’t release a single illegal immigrant int the interior of the U.S. last month,’ the New York Post reports — the latest victory in … Trump’s relentless commitment to securing the homeland and a remarkable turnaround from the 62,000 illegals released into the country under the Biden Administration just one year ago.”

The numbers tell the story — from tens of thousands and scores and scores to virtually zero. The photos tell it even more graphically — the hundreds of images published under the Biden years of the lines and lines and endless lines of illegals crossing into the United States, to the ones of today, a virtually vacant border area.

The SAVE Act, or Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, plays into the shutdown debate and fight over DHS funding because Democrats know that if they can’t use those illegals they’ve let into the country by getting them the vote — well then, all those years of effort at opening borders and passing out T-shirts and soccer balls to the illegals, and flying them points north, east and west to lodge them in tax-paid hotels and feed them with tax-paid meals were wasted years.

They’d have to go back to the drawing board and find new ways to win at the ballot box — new ways that wouldn’t compromise their socialist-communist-Marxist agendas.

If Democrats were honest about their endgame of destroying American Exceptionalism and ushering in globalist collectivism, nobody would vote for them. So they have to resort to cheap giveaways and gimmicks and lies — such as using tax dollars to pay for child care and housing and transportation for illegals, and twisting state laws to get illegal immigrants their driver’s licenses, and fighting against Republicans and patriots who simply want to ensure U.S. elections are secure, safe from fraud. America is a democratic-republic, after all. America is not a banana republic.

“We see immigrants being demonized, intimidated and in many cases being treated so, so unjustly and in ways that are truly un-American,” said Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey, speaking in support of Biden’s remarks.

She means illegals.

But illegals are not unjustly treated when they’re swept up and deported. That’s called law and order.

There’s a difference between illegals and intruders, and Democrats are purposely blurring that distinction for their own political purposes and to advance their own elitist goals.
